Hooker:
Are we harbingers or bandwagon-ers?
Buffer:
Well, Being a harbinger might help our next generation brush aside a few mis-leading conceptions.
Preview:
Bandwagoner-ers refuse to apply their own understanding or thought process and in return provides moral support to unnecessary stereotyping. whereas, harbingers does exactly the opposite. This fact calls attention even while choosing a role model.

Narrative1:
Barbie doll, meant to be played by little girls, was made by the American toy-company Mattel. in 1959. Over the years it gained the ill repute of leading little girls to become so much aware of their physical appearance that they lack a view on building a career/personality etc for themselves. Barbie is considered obsessed with her appearance and this is what led to all the above conclusions. One of her considerable obsessions is keeping skinny.
Derived point 1:
Now, Would we want our kids to be obese? We are all pretty much aware that Obesity is the root cause of various diseases. So, if a doll is the inspiration of keeping body weight under check, what is the4 problem? Would we buy obese dolls for our kids? I don’t think so. We have superman and batman, all very famous super-heroes, who have the masculine body structure. Does that mean all little boys fascinated with these heroes would grow up to build a physic like them and never give importance to other aspects of their existence? Over tha ages since it did not happen for the boys I am sure it does’nt happen for girls either.
Narrative 2:
How many dolls available in the market for little girls ever give them a career aspiration?
Derived point 2:
Well barie does. Barbie has been a doctor, a vet, a paleontologist, an astronaut, a firefighter, a pop singer, a teacher and a film star. You name it and she’z done it. She has even been a presidential candidate. Barbie is interested in animals, food and having a career for herself. Thus if girls as young as 5-7 years are exposed to the different career options then I would say hats off to Barbie.
