Debate whether or not economics apply to health care. Be sure to discuss in what ways
Economics is apprehensive with the distribution of limited resources amongst their opposing uses, on the face of limitless and the wants/desire of humans. Amongst these wants/desires are rendered health care services in which we do not have the capability to utilize the exact same as the principles of Economic we utilize for other services or goods. This is because there are distinctive individualities that make them different from the others. This is why economics is established to deal with what is called Economics of Health and Health Care. If the government were to enforce taxes on individual’s direct income or medicine for example, it would affect health care that is our rights of purchasing for basic needs such as medication would be hindered. Or let’s take a recession or natural catastrophe and there are no reserved funds for the country. How will anyone or the government import medication?

Apart from the current economic downturn, the design and cost of employer-sponsored coverage have also changed over time, and more people are finding work that does not offer health benefits. The recession has kept patients from seeking inpatient and elective services. Physicians and institutional providers are also seeing more patients who cannot pay for their care. Physicians and nurses appear to be re-entering or remaining in the workforce longer than previously planned, and many physicians are establishing new financial arrangements with hospitals and other provider groups to help ensure a steady income. Two dominant structural trends that are: growth and consolidation are likely to continue to reshape health care delivery, but reform legislation could significantly affect the speed as well as direction of changes. The health care system in the United States is challenged with many issues that exposed widely; the stress of rising cost and the aging population, enormous incompetence and inadequate quality.
