Based on this week's readings, practice your newly acquired counseling skills and begin a conversation with a friend, family member, etc about the importance of knowing what's in your credit report and the importance of checking your credit report on the regular basis. During your discussion, ask your "client" what he or she thinks is the biggest credit mistake he or she can make in regards to his/her credit score.
Use this week's readings and your "counseling session" on credit reports to address the following:
1. Prior to reading this week's readings, what did you think was the biggest mistake you could make regarding your credit report/ score?
2. What did your "client" think was the biggest credit mistake he/she could make? Was this mistake on the top ten list?
3. Which of the top ten mistakes was the biggest surprise (most unexpected) to you and why.
4. Have you or your client committed one (or more) of the top ten mistakes

A lot of the time you hear people talking about not being able to make payments on their credit cards and then they are being to be very concerned about their credit score. None the less a lot of the commercials on TV now a days is all about paying off the credit card debt that many have created. My client surprisingly agreed with me on what they thought was the biggest mistake on credit. They also thought that having multiple late payments on multiple credit cards was the biggest mistake. This is on the top ten list, coming in at number 2. They believed this due to all the commercials about consolidating credit card debts and other types of debts.
