INDIRECT OBJECT PRONOUNS

SUBJECT PRONOUNS:

Yo = I

Tú = You

Él = He

Ella = She

Nosotros = We

Vosotros = You all

Ellos / Ellas = They

• SUBJECT pronouns must be used as the SUBJECT of the sentence.
• SUBJECT pronouns indicate who/what is DOING the action.

INDIRECT OBJECT PRONOUNS:

Me = me

Te = you

Le = him / her

Nos = us

Os = you all

Les = them

• OBJECT pronouns must be used as the OBJECT of the sentence.
• INDIRECT OBJECT pronouns indicate TO WHOM or FOR WHOM the action is being done.

“My mom” refers to who DOES the action.

“me” refers to who RECEIVES the action.

Taryn helps them with the homework.

INDIRECT OBJECT: them (les)

“Lauren” refers to who DOES the action.

“Lauren” (les) refers to who RECEIVES the action.

She teaches us Spanish.
