CHAPTER- 1
- INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this study is about the factors affecting to the labor supply and its impact on employee performance in retail sector. Literature review shows that the influence of motivation and satisfaction are very important to the employee performance and also to the organizational goals. A further study shows that factor of motivation and employee performance of a garments industry are also playing important role.
Kotler & Keller (2006), states that employee satisfaction is most integral part of the human resource management of the business world. Basically this concept started in the 18th century by the international labor movement. That time the labors moved for their rights and the wages as well as their working hours that relate to its other facilities. After a long time in the 21st century, the concept of labor satisfaction has typically changed by the organizational regulation. Now every organization thinks about the rights and the satisfaction of their employees. The reason behind the concern is to get the best output from the staffs and the employees.
In this report, it is going to do the project regarding the subject of factors affecting to labor supply in Bangladesh. This research is going through a garments industry and on the basis of this there will an organization on behalf of the whole same sector in the third world country like Bangladesh. This project will be the way to find out the problems, solutions and the alternative intensive for the employees according to the garments industry.
On this chapter, there will be the discussion about the project background that contains the subject discussion of the project and the background of the organization. In this point, the subject will be compared to the specific department to the selected organization. Besides this, there will be the part of the aim and objectives, purpose of the project, project questions and the structure of the project to complete the project properly. Aim and objectives are the way to solve the project problems, purpose of the project will be discuss and finally the questions will be elaborate that will be solved in the next part of the project. In the end of this part there will be the structure of the steps to solve the project problems. Factors those affects labor supply questionnaire about these factors are used to accumulate data. Questioners ask to proportion of organization labor supply on affecting factors on 1-5 scale.
1.2 OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY
1.2.1 PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
The primary objective of the study is to examine the factors that effects supply of employee in an organization.
1.2.1 SECENDARY OBJECTIVE
- To investigate the measurement the job satisfaction level of the employees
- Case study regarding the perception of employees towards organization
- To analyze the attitude of the employees towards their work
- To evaluate through the factors of employee motivation
- To identify the suggestions for the growth of employee output

The study uses structured questionnaire with 06 (six) variables which is given below:
- Organizational working condition
- Employee Development
- Employee Selection Process
- Employee Wage, Salary & other benefits
- Employee working Hour & Leave
- Hygiene Safety & security.
1.4 SCOPE OF THE STUDY
The study includes the participants of the employee of Harmonic Dream Fashion Limited. The information I had collected from mid-level employee and upper level employees at Harmonic Dream Fashion Limited through specific questionnaire which are filled by the respondents. In this study, I had tried our best to analyze present situation of mid-level employees and upper level employees on the basis of the factors that affect employee job satisfaction to stay in an organization.
