Finance Club

I’ll start with a short introduction. My name is XXX and I’m running for President of Finance Club. I graduated with a BA in Economics from AAA College. Prior to the MBA I worked with ABC Bank. for more than 4 and a half years.

I am elected President of the Finance Club

My primary focus will be to provide students with a platform and the resources to develop and strengthen their interests in different fields of finance. I look to make the Finance Club a dynamic club by encouraging active participation in workshops, competitions and simulation based activities. And lastly, help the NUS MBA build its brand.

To achieve those goals, these are some of my plans.

Organise “A day in the life of...” and “Days at Raffles Place” series, where we will invite and visit finance professionals to learn more about careers in finance.

Organize workshops on financial modelling, valuation and technical analysis so that we are up to date with industry best practices.

Next, increase participation in inter-university competitions and look at possibly organising an inter university virtual trading competition. Also, starting a finance magazine or blog where students will be able to get themselves published.
