In the event of a fire at my house that is located at 62 Toothpick Dr. there are a number of steps that my family and I will have to take. The first step my mother Chris, father Tom, brother Pat, and I will do is establish a meeting place. A meeting place should be established a safe distance away from your house in the event of a fire. My families meeting place is located across the street underneath my neighbors tree. It is the only tree that my neighbor has in her front yard. Now that everyone knows where the meeting place is located no one will go back inside the house to help someone who is already out.
The next step that needs to be taken is calling 911. I will be the designated person in my house that is responsible for calling 911. Incase we need any help I am surrounded with neighbors; my two neighbors next door are Lizette Jardo, and Nagy Salid. If you are looking at my house from the street The Jardo’s are located on the right and The Salib’s are located on the left. If you are looking out from my house, across the street is my neighbor Dolores Mitchell. I also have a neighbor Brianna that lives directly behind my house. In the state of emergency the fire departments phone number is 444-444-4444 they are located on 21 County Rd, Jacksonville, Texas
In the event of someone being in my house who is and elder, child, or physically challenged, my father will be the designated person to help, and my brother Pat will be the back up person.
If someone is in my bedroom, which is located on the second floor, the primary exit is through my bedroom door and down both flights of stairs and out the front door. The secondary exit would be through either of my two windows in the front of my house onto the porch roof and slide down to a stonewall that runs along the side. If someone is located in my parents room which is also located on the second floor, the primary exit will be to out their bedroom door and down both flights of stairs and out the front door. The secondary exit will be out either of their front two windows onto a small piece of overhanging roof and onto the same stonewall that leads around the porch. If someone is in my brother’s room which is also on the second floor the primary exit will be out of his bedroom door that leads to the hallway and down both flights of stairs. The secondary exit will be out either window that leads to a small overhang over the back deck and jump down onto the lawn.
