What if I told you that by doing one simple thing every morning could reduce the risk of heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and also you can improve your memory and immune system? Would you be interested in doing it? The simple thing is just taking breakfast every day. Today I am going to tell you the importance of taking breakfast every day. I am going to tell you what breakfast mean, why some people skip breakfast, and importance of breakfast.
At first, what "breakfast" means? It is simply breaking the fast between dinner and lunch. It is indeed a very important meal of the day.
Let’s discuss why some people skip breakfast: About 40 percent of Canadians skip breakfast because they think that they will lose weight. And also many skip this to save time or money. There is also a conception among some people that eating breakfast makes them drowsy.
Now let me tell you the importance of breakfast: According to the American Dietetic Association, people who eat breakfast perform better in their work, with better concentration, and problem-solving skills. Moreover, they remain active all the day. It also said that breakfast eaters tend to weigh less than breakfast skippers.
Many studies proved that skipping breakfast linked to health risks like high blood pressure, overweight, and many other negative effects. Besides skipping the early meal keeps our body in the stressful state of fasting for longer, which can disrupt your metabolism considerably and energy levels also drop. Starting your day without breakfast is just like going to office in your car without having any gas in it.
After knowing the importance of breakfast, you may be wondering what we are supposed to eat for breakfast.
Choose the breakfast foods with contain more nutritional diet such as rich in whole grains, fiber, higher in nutrients, protein, vitamins and minerals, while low in added sugar. A good breakfast fuels you up and gets you ready for the day.
To summarize, people who eat breakfast, have more energy, and remain healthier and active throughout the day. This is the reason, elders say "Breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dine like a pauper." So always make time for breakfast.
