The invention that modern society would be unthinkable without is money. In fact, this is the most important one of all. Neither cars, nor computers would have existed if it wasn’t for it. Money was not only the reason for the birth of economics, but it also contributed for the development of the complicated systems in our society that appear today.

Few would dispute the fact that money is the one and only factor that drives people to pursuit their aims. Nowadays the image of a prosperous life is certainly represented by wealth. The idea of well-being speaks not for health, love and family but for power and personal belongings such as house(s), car(s), brand clothes and technology. Of course, there are those people, who are definitely much more than a handful, that dream of travelling around the world. Unfortunately, this again is led to financial sources.

All the evidence of everyday life suggests that making money is the number one purpose in each human being’s life. On the one hand, it is a benefit because it urges us to educate ourselves and desire achievements. But on the other, it is causing too much stress and problems which we encounter on our way to success. Credits, mortgages and bills affect our health and are the most negative results of the present financial system.

In conclusion, money is the most essential element in modern life and it does make the world go round but there can be no doubt that the luckiest people are the ones not infatuated by materialism.
