Dear Sir/Madam
I am writing this letter to apply for the International Masters of Business Administration program at Nyenrode Business University, a foreign exchange program with SPJIMR, Mumbai, India. I strongly believe that this program would be foundation for my future career in the field of business and management as it offers the right amount of exposure and moreover direction to an individual who has experience in the field of science and technology.
I have a bachelor degree in Production Engineering from the Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat, India. After graduating in 2010 I joined Tech Mahindra Ltd as a Software Engineer. Initially I started my career as a Software Tester for the client British Telecom. Although my work was different from what I learned during graduation, I was able to grasp the things quickly and as a result I was awarded with the “Pat on the Back” honor within a year. Then I moved to Application support for the same client where I got to learn more about business. There I got to interact with people of various backgrounds and was able to get my hands on solving real time live issues. As a result of my performances I was given my first promotion to the role of Senior Software Engineer.
By mid-2013 I decided to move out of BT work with AT&T client. After a few months I was given the role of Associate Team Lead in that project. There I learned more about resource handling and delegating tasks. At the completion of 5 years I felt for a new challenge in life hence decided to quit my job and prepare for the Masters in Business Administration. After I was done with my degree in engineering, MBA was on the top of my list. But I decided to gain some industry experience and get a more detailed view of professional life and the challenges faced there. Also I wanted to make sure that I do my MBA from one of the premium institutes around the world. Hence in the meantime I read many business and management books to know more about MBA to make up my mind about how I plan to study MBA.
