My team
They say it's not the end, they say I have a bright future, but you can't get something back after your time with is over. regrets tear people apart and blind them to their future. My weekend consisted of regrets. as a high school senior athlete I played basketball for our school. In the past three years Fletcher girls basketball has been a joke. Something change that though a new coach arrived with determination and passion.
Starting the season was rough but we always battled through. Tough games were ahead in our schedule and our goal was 10 wins it doesn't seem like a lot but considering the year before we only had two wins.
Are Coach motivated us and in time we became a team! Tough situations with parents and fellow students who didn't believe in us got us fired up. We played the game together one of us goes down the other fights to take their place. We had in us to be great but all we wanted was to inspire the community, to get rid of the losing streak and move forward.
Battling through the season we achieve our 10 wins and it was playoff time. We made people believers we even made ourselves believe it was all possible. Districts came and we won one and lost one which put us in the losers bracket for regionals. During regionals we made it past the first round which in our case was surprising. Second round we also one. The final round is what brings up this story. The final round brings either success or heartbreak.
My final game came sooner than I imagined. I won't give live another day without regrets.
