How can a man with incredible humor be a comedian as well as a serious mentor? Can a comedian really be serious and dedicated enough to mentor and change lives on a daily basis? ABSOLUTELY he can and so today will take a look at the current life of Mr. Broderick Steven Harvey also known as the incredible comedian Steve Harvey starting first with discussing his talents as a comedian and host, secondly with his commitment to mentoring young children, and finally his dedication to the financial assistance of young African Americans who are attending or wishing to attend college.
Most people know Mr. Harvey as one of the original kings of comedy, the host of the Steve Harvey Morning Show and the Family Feud. His book, "Act like a Lady Think Like a Man" has also became a number one box office hit and he has been in several acting roles with my personal favorite being Steve Hightower with The Steve Harvey Show. Comedy is what Steve Harvey does extremely well and to attend a comedy show of his is indeed a side-splitting and pleasurable experience. His comedy is also very real as well as good for the soul and full of humorous knowledge and inspiration as he performs every weekday morning as the host of his radio morning show
As shown on his website, he has wonderful mentoring foundations designed to assist African American families with getting their children off to a better start in their youth and onward to their adult lives. For young boys, he has the mentoring weekend for young African American men to encourage those young boys who are growing up in a single female parent home to be upstanding men in society. For girls there is the mentorship program called Girls Who Rule the World where young African American girls are encouraged to achieve their top potential in society. This program is led by his current wife, Marjorie Harvey who is Founder and President. He and his wife are also in partnership with Atlanta CARES Mentoring Movement which is also an affiliate of the National CARES Mentoring Movement.
