The Arts in our daily life
Most people do not realize how much they rely on art and all its forms in our daily life. While we might not be aware of it, we are surrendered by it and use it on continual basis. We always have some forms of art in our homes. Not all visual art is purely for looking at, a lot is functional, everything form that photograph to the painting on the wall ,a book on the shelf to an area rug can be considered a form of art.
While art may not be vital to fulfill our basic needs it does make life joyful .Everywhere we go art is evident. The parks use sculptures to add interest and to inform people. Posters on the wall give information and motivation. Music plays on the radio to keep our energy level up. Books help us develop our imagination and escape from quotidian existence. Everyone benefits from arts as these forms of art surrounding us have an impact on us in an emotional sense. While some very dark art can cause disturbing emotions, anger and even depression, other types of art can make us feel happier, calmer or even inspired to do something; it is a very powerful thing.
Though in the past art has been perceived by some as an upper-class activity associated with wealth I think that art is for everyone who understands it and is able to see it when others only see an apparent garbage.
Arts and culture are important for our nation and economic vitality that is why the Government should support the arts community in various ways including incentives that encourage the private sector to provide funding. Art helps a person grow and see life with different eyes, that is why people should get more involved in it. People should be encouraged to go to museums, theatres, art galleries etc. There should be more campaigns that promote arts and inform people on the effect it has upon our spirit.
