THE LONDON EXPERIENCE

Upon two years ago, on January 5th 2009, I began the very one challenging and enriching adventure of my life. I'd about to start the English language learning process in a foreign country and also within a cosmopolitan city as London. But looking back in time, 6 months before, I was planning setting up my trip, retrieving visa requirements, London know-how and more, in short I had to know what I'd face.

And so on, 6th January, after a exhausting trip-scale at Madrid and jet-lag, I faced my London first-day. I remember it quite well because when I get out the flat I was living, the fog was thick and too cold as well. So then, I was attempting to catch the London tube and I could see the Arsenal FC Emirates Stadium near my flat. At night, I was a little bit adapted to London, I have learned the first English lesson and another one, I was living in one of the most expensive cities around the world, and even the ticket lady on Holloway Road Tube Station could assert it... 8 pounds for a single-way! Unbelievable!

Another main aim of the adventure, beside the English lessons was the need of a job for maintenance (rent, food, transport, and other issues). The days passed and I realize that I was being quite difficult than I expected. Sometimes I applied to half-time IT jobs for easy tasks. I sent lots of emails attaching my CV and I didn't receive any reply. So, one month and a half later, a job opportunity in a hotel for room attendance and cleaning tasks. That's not I was expecting but anyway I didn't mind so I appreciated too much my new jobs. It was first money source. At mornings I worked and in the afternoon I studied English. No complains. Then, the 9th March arrived with a huge notice, I was arranged the very first IT english interview at Efortiori Limited, an outsourcing and customer IT services enterprise, I remember I was excited and prepared for everything.
