Statement of the Problem

The purpose of the study is to determine the ways contractors can convert unused containers into profitable ones that are of best use to the public. The output of the study would also provide contractors an opportunity to increase their profitability by developing more projects where benefits exceed than the cost. This study also aims to eradicate numerous shipping containers by seeking ways that recreates value to these unused containers, thus, increasing the demand of shipping containers.

Specifically, the researcher aimed to answer the following questions:

1. What are the means of recreating value of abundant unused shipping containers?

a. To increase demand of shipping containers as building material.

b. To reduce supply of unused shipping containers.

c. To determine the amount of shipping containers available to the market

2. What courses of action should be taken to generate more income to contractors with this innovation?

a. To be able to come up with ways of increasing projects of the contractors.

b. To capture the interest of the public

c. To be able to achieve competitive advantage within the construction industry. d. To weigh the benefits against the cost and achieve competitive advantage

3. What are the preferences of the aspiring business persons (taking up business administration courses in University of San Carlos) as to the recycling of the unused shipping containers?

a. To determine the size of the estimated capital for future investments b. To know what factors that needs to be considered
