The more we rely on fossil fuels, the more we will find our environment destroyed by its effects. It's important that things begin changing very soon and one of the most effective ways to start is with cars. As a way to handle the problem with fuel emissions, manufacturers are beginning to make more cars that won't cause damage to the environment.

A car that is battery powered may just be the vehicle that causes the least harm on the environment. Because the battery is the primary power source, the vehicle has no need for any of the regular car gasoline. Sounds great since it doesn't need fuel, so money will be saved and it's not harmful to the environment which is fantastic, but there is a drawback. These autos are still in the early stages even though they have been released to consumers, so their engines are rather limited. This means that you will have to recharge the battery after approximately 100 miles, so it doesn't run very far on one run.

One other option available is a hybrid vehicle. Hybrid cars are eco friendly and they are both powered by battery and gasoline. You might be thinking, ''How is that possible'' Well, I'll share it with you. Initially, the hybrid car is powered by the battery. As the car calls for increased power and run at a particular speed, this is when it begins using fuel. One good thing is the automatic charging of the battery as a result of petrol consumption, so you won't need to do this yourself.

There is likewise another type of automobiles, known as plug-hybrid model. Plug-in hybrid cars are likewise environmentally friendly and run similarly to the hybrid cars mentioned above. There is one difference and that is that plug-in hybrids should be connected to an outside source of electricity to charge up the battery, whereas the typical hybrid car can automatically recharge the battery by itself.
