On April 23, 2011 I attended Bat Boy at the University of Memphis written by Keythe Farley and Brian Fleming, directed by Copeland Woodruff at the Mainstage Theatre. Bat boy: The Musical is a tragicomedy about a half boy/ half-bat creature found in a cave. He lives in town where the people are not so open minded. He tries to become a part of their society and is shunned by the people of Hope Falls.
All of the actors did an amazing job! My favorite though was the actor playing bat boy. He is an amazing actor and truly played his part. If I ever see him off the set I would suspect he would be a bat. The props that were used in the play were great! they really pulled together their resources. The box and how it folded up was quite brilliant. The University of Memphis definitely puts on a great show. They never let you down.
