Scene 1
Narrator: Hansel and Gretel lived in the forest in a tiny cottage with their poor father, who was a woodcutter, and their evil stepmother.
Stepmother: Now that the children are sleeping, I have to talk to you.
Father: About what?
Stepmother: We don't have enough food to feed the children. Tomorrow we will take them into the forest and leave them there.
Father: I will not do that to my own children! The forest is a dangerous place!
Scene 2
Narrator: She insisted so much in that idea that the woodcutter finally agreed. But Hansel and Gretel were not sleeping, they were listening to the whole conversation.
Hansel: DonĀ“t cry, little sister. I have an idea to find our way back home.
Scene 3
Father: Hansel! Gretel! Wake up! We are going to the forest today.
Gretel: Why daddy. Why are we going to the forest?
Father: We need more wood. Winter is coming. Now lets go.
Hansel: Okay father.
Father: Here are some sandwiches your mother made for us.
Gretel: She is not our mother!
Hansel: Gretel keep quiet! We are going with father.
Scene 4
Narrator: While they were walking Hansel kept leaving a trail of breadcrumbs to find a way back home.
Scene 5
Father: Listen kids, stay here until I come back.
Gretel: Don't leave us here father. I'm scared.
Hansel: I'm here with you Gretel. Don't worry.
Scene 6
Hansel: Come on its time to find our way back home.
Gretel: I'll help you find the breadcrumbs.
Hansel: But.. I can't find any..
Gretel: I knew it! The animals must have eaten them. What are we going to do?
Hansel: We will find a way..
Gretel: Look! Is that a house of chocolate?
