1. Because my discipline of study is so broad I have decided to discuss the discipline that I wish to work in after I graduate from college. My desired career is to be an independent stylist and style for magazine editorials. Therefore, I would be working in the fashion industry but not with the large companies and brands that most people associate with the fashion industry. Rather, I would be working with other smaller and perhaps even independent people and businesses like small PR firms, freelance photographers and freelance makeup artists.

2. There are several different things that could be considered knowledge in the line of work that I wish to do. The first is unfortunate but very true, it is the people you know. Of course there are some things that are considered knowledge in this discipline, as was previously mentioned, but but there is no conventional way of working in this discipline. This is what makes it so fun and also so challenging.

4. There are a number of ways that knowledge gets circulated in my discipline. One is by word of mouth. Fashion is small, especially the segment that I wish to work in and often it is through speaking to others that things are created. Ideas are circulated and built best upon through collaboration in this field. There is also though media such as magazine publications, websites, social media sites and advertisements. This is where the work and ideas of those in the industry are displayed. These works are not just for the consumer, they’re also for those in the industry as well to show their ideas and gain recognition
