Can you do it again? All right, sing the song entitled “Are you sleeping, Brother John?” to a round song. Are you familiar with the song? Better, alright row 1, you will be the first then second row wait for my signal if when to start same for the third and fourth row. Are you sleeping, (teacher sings it with tune) row one, sing. (Teacher will command the second row to follow.) (Teacher will command the third row to follow.) (Teacher will command the fourth row to follow.) Very good! Let’s do the Regine Clap! Okay. So this morning, I will teach you another songs- 2 songs actually. Then afterwards we will have an activity.

What you did was an example of singing in unison- singing with a single melodic line. Singing in round songs and partner songs are examples of songs having multiple melodic lines. Now this time, let’s try to sing It’s a small world and He’s got the world together to show us how singing songs having multiple melodic lines. Group 1, you will sing, “It’s a small world” and group 2, you will sing “He’s got the whole world.” I will give you the command to start, It’s a small world after all….. He’s got the whole world…… Ready, sing. (Teacher continues to give the beat as it ends.) Very good. Let’s try it again. Very Good class!! Let’s all clap our hands. Alright for your evaluation, I want you to have a group activity. Row 1 together with the row 3, and row 2 together with row 4. What you are going to do is present in the class singing the songs “It’s a small world” and “He’s got the whole world” in unison and as partner song. This is the criteria for your presentation.
