The Beatles

The Beatles have been described as the greatest music group of all time. Every song they have written has impacted the music industry immensely. Their music has influenced pop culture in ways such as films, fashion, literature, and many more. The Beatles accomplished so much in such a short amount of time, that it makes people wonder, what would the world be like had the Beatles lasted just a little while longer? But during their active years, their music, fashion, and outlook on life impacted every single person that encountered a Beatles album. Music would not be anywhere near where it is now, had the Beatles not existed. With their amazing talent, phenomenal manager, unique variety of music, and trend-setting ways, the Beatles changed the world with their music.

It all began in Liverpool, England in July of 1957, when soon to be song writing legends John Lennon and Paul McCartney met for the first time. Lennon had formed a band named “The Quarrymen” and he wanted McCartney to join in. Another soon to be famous Beatle, guitar player George Harrison, had been added to the line-up in 1958. “The Quarrymen” was soon changed to “Johnny and the Moondogs” as time passed. The group, which was made up of Lennon, McCartney, Harrison, and drummer Pete Best, played gigs at a club in England called The Casbah, which was owned by Best’s mother. Soon, after their name being changed to the “Silver Beetles”, Lennon finally settled with the famous group name “The Beatles” in 1960.

In November of 1961, the Beatles made the phenomenal decision of appointing upcoming legendary manager Brian Epstein to be their managing genius. The Epstein era had begun. Epstein gave the Beatles their famous look, and helped them sore to the top and become icons for many. His impact established the Beatles for what they were known. In 1962, Epstein made the tough decision to fire drummer Pete Best and replace him with the fourth and final famous Beatle, Ringo Starr. The legendary Beatles’ line-up was now complete.

Their first hit, “Love Me Do”, was released in September of 1962, and took the world by surprise. The Beatles were now in the public eye, and weren’t leaving without making an impact. The combination of Lennon and McCartney
