Analyzing audience during any presentations can be very important to the presenter or to any individual in a meeting receiving the information. During the oral, the presentation the presenter must provide a clear form of communication orally to ensure the message is understood and not to offend any individual beliefs or other culture. The presenter also should be aware that many cultures understand differently if it could be a bad or good, which sometimes is the opposite of what he, or she knows. Understanding the different cultures can be crucial when promoting the company product to different vendors in other countries nationally or even managing other office (Locker & Kienzler, 2008).
The characteristics the presenter of the audience must be consider so no individual will be offended or provoked in any way. For example, when a presenter has to provide quarterly sales information to stakeholders, manager, sales associates and clients, the presenter must be aware of all the different cultures within the room and gender. The presenter must be flexible and open to change in any comments or strange looks from the individuals that [people and animals with names are never "that" they are "who"] are receiving the information. In order to consider the different characteristics of the audience the presenter must look at the outline of the entire presentation to get the audience engaged to ask questions whether the presentation put together yourself or an out source provided the presentation (Gary, 2007).
When a presenter is providing information to the audience for the quarterly sale meeting he or she must us appropriate communication during the meeting. There can be several different ["several different" is redundant -- if there are several, surely they are different] channels that can be appropriate to use like, acting accordingly, be sensitive to the different culture, adapt the message to the group, respond to question appropriately, and provide positive motivation (Government of Japan, 2004). This type of communication must be positive to assure that no one is offended during the presentation, and dress professionally. One of the large parts of being a presenter is acting accordingly and not displaying any kind of negative vibe to the audience by wrong hand jester or movement. The second important communication is to understand the different culture in the group that could easily misunderstand the information that is being provided during the presentation. Example one thing may mean a positive influence but could mead the opposite to the individual, so keeping the communication at a neutral tone will assure the information to be clear and correctly. Third important communication is to answer any questions appropriately with a straight answer without joking around and keeping the meeting on the subject on hand.
