Critical Thinking Memorandum

This memo is to bring to light a discuss management had about critical thinking.

Kallet (2014) stated “Critical thinking is thinking but in a different way. Many people describe this process using terms such as analytical, thoughtful, questioning, probing, non-emotional, organized, innovative, Socratic, logical, methodical, not taking things for granted, examining, details, exhaustive, outside the box, scientific, and procedural” (p. 3).

As you see the definition of critical thinking is to think in a different way using other techniques to help you process for a better answer. As a company we like to use critical thinking in all department to buy products smarter, to make work easier for employees and customers. Critical thinking has to become second nature to all of us. We will be having classes schedule to help use your existing skills to work with the new skills you will learn.

As the owner of this business I have had some different situations of how critical thinking has help. Example one I had marketing issues where I was not getting customers when doing social media. After sitting down and using critical thinking skills we decided to market in social media and paper flyers to help get the word out and what we have found is that it was the best decisions our marketing team has made.

The steps we took first was a poll with questions to existing customers and strangers the outcome was about the same no one knew who we was. So we used analytical, examining, details why our marketing was not working. Personally as an owner I will provide examples of a situation in which critical thinking was used to address the importance and benefits of critical thinking had in examining and concluding the above-mentioned situation.  In addition, possible procedures and submissions of critical thinking in my current business will be developed and discussed.
