Jogging can improve fitness and trim my body. I took brisk 30 to 40 minute walks. I keep my pace slow at first, and then gradually increase the speed of walking. I was exercising gently and then rest, exercise gently and rest, over and over. Gradually I will get fitter and my resting heart rate will decrease. Then my body will be ready to begin jogging, not before. I realized that duration and frequency are very important. I walked at a fast pace over long distances, I wore good shoes with a reasonable amount of cushioning. Actually jogging is similar to walking in that it can be done anytime and anywhere and involves either one person or many. Jogging also conditions the heart, improves muscle tone and strength, and relieves stress, besides also dealing with osteoporosis, arthritis, and heart disease. Jogging is the most efficient way of achieving fitness through cardiovascular exercise and burns more calories because it is a high-impact exercise. Regular moderate jogging helps keep your bones strong. Resistance strength training will also keep muscles, bones and your joints in good condition. A terrific benefit of jogging is reduced stress hormones in the body. This slows the heart rate and lowers blood pressure. With less stress hormones coursing through my body, I'll relax more and cope better with life's daily stresses. I went hiking alone at Penang Hill. Hiking provides physical health benefit. Hiking is a great endurance workout since you have to walk for many hours up terrains with varying steepness. It tests how persevere you are in reaching the summit, improving your overall fitness level. Specifically, hiking helps me to improve flexibility, develop muscle tone, improve coordination, ensure balance, burn calories, and enhance physical focus.
