Cardio respiratory fitness is the body’s capacity to provide oxygen to the muscles during exercise. The body utilizes the respiratory system and circulatory system to do so. The best way or gold standard of measuring an individual’s Cardio Respiratory Fitness (CRF) is using the VO2 max assessment. VO2 max measures the maximal oxygen amount the body can use during vigorous aerobic exercise and it is expressed in millilitres per kilogram or body weight per minute (McArdle, F. Katch & V. Katch, 2006). The figures acquired from a VO2 max test can also be presented as the VO2 max score by itself (absolute) or the VO2 max score per kilogram (relative) (McArdle, F. Katch & V. Katch, 2006).
Sample
The participants of the study where all students at the Australian College of Physical Education. Each student has some interested in physical activity and most also participated in physical activity on a regular basis. Further information about each subject is outline in table 1 and table 2. The tests were conducted at the Australian College of Physical Education in December 2011.
