DETAILS OF THE ASSESSMENT
For this component of the module, you are expected to produce a 1000 to 1500 word reflective report on the experience you have gained from your team project.
Your report should be a formal critique of each aspect of the team project, considering your experience as a team member and evaluating the tools and techniques applied during the project. To gain the higher marks, your work should show evidence of familiarity with alternative approaches to those actually taken, using references as appropriate.
The structure of the report given below is not prescriptive, but if you wish to deviate from it you should discuss this with your tutor and take into consideration that the marking scheme aligns with the structure given below. As a reflective report, it is appropriate to write in the first person.
Report Structure
Title and Contents – You should use the facilities within Word (or similar) to make it possible for you to auto-generate the table of contents.
Abstract – A brief 100 word summary of the report that follows, highlighting any critical points within the body of the report.
1. Introduction – A brief introduction to the problem addressed and an overview of the main body of the report that follows.
2. Project Lifecycle – A report on the overall approach to the project, alternatives that were considered and an evaluation of the successes and challenges that emerged in following the methods chosen.
3. Communication – A report on the tools and techniques used during the project, alternatives that were considered and an evaluation of the successes and challenges that emerged in using those adopted.
