Family and Marriage

Marriage is the union of two people who commit to romantically loving and caring for each other and to sharing the burdens and benefits of domestic life. It is essentially a union

of hearts and minds, enhanced by whatever forms of sexual intimacy both partners find agreeable.

In marriage relationships we expected to learn a number of things including the compromises couple must make with respect to such things as careers, finances, and children. Our initial impressions were that couples must be willing to make these sacrifices in order to have a long and fulfilling relationship with their spouse. Marriage requires preparation emotionally and spiritually. Marriage is considered to be one of the hardest aspects of life to control. Merging two different customary lifestyles into one can be difficult especially since the feelings of both are involved. I have learned both the numerous ways to destroy and build a successful marriage. Marriage is the union of man and woman becoming as one flesh according to God's law and the law of the land. To get married is a very important event for almost everyone. As, a Christian you make a promise before God.

The most important quality of a married couple is love. Attitudes and responsibilities are some important factors for the development of a good marriage. Building a happy marriage is the result of conscious effort on the part of a husband and wife. A lifelong union, that people bound together by a bond of love, which is spiritual as well as physical, can be considered marriage. Marriage is socially recognized and approved union between individuals, who give to one another with the expectation of a secure and lasting personal relationship. It begins with a ceremony known as a wedding, which formally unites the marriage partners. A marital relationship usually involves some kind of agreement. The usual roles and responsibilities of the husband and wife is living together, having sexual relations only with one another, sharing economic resources, and being recognized as the parents of their children. I believe most people want that special someone in your life you can count on is there during the good and bad times. When you become involved with someone through marriage the commitment of love should be present. Setting attainable goals together and working towards them with dedication and determination will keep you closely connected; knowing that in the end the reward will be worth it.
