1. I think that what you do, as in your vocation, does usually say the kind of person you are. The reason you chose that vocation in the first place is you felt attached to it and felt it was truly who you were so therefore it does usually show who you are. You could also take into account who you are outside of that vocation to get the overall picture of who you are.
2. The saying means that the people who have not grown up with you and with all the changes to the world don’t understand how it all works now and how it affects you. I would explain how this type of “generation gap” affected me by saying that the differences between the generations put one at a disadvantage when trying to connect with each other. By not having experienced the same changes in the world means that there are less things to have in common with each other.
3. When the time comes to where there are senior citizens in my family then I will take care of them because that’s what you do for the people that took care of you and had to grow old so you could get older. I would not just ship them off to a nursing home like many people sometimes do but I would take care of them and listen to their concerns and how they would like to be taken care of. My concerns of growing older is not being able to do the things young people do which are drive and play around. I also have a fear of being forgotten because when you grow older sometimes all your family does is put you in a nursing home and that’s scary.
4. Appearances may be deceiving when you think someone is a certain way but they actually aren’t. Like if you looked at a girl and she is in a frilly dress and little heels but in real life she loves getting dirty and not being in a dress. There is also were you see someone who looks happy and content but in all reality they are suffering and depressed or in an unsafe condition.
5. Spoken words are deceptive because it’s just you and one other person and if they aren’t trust worthy then they would use that against you. A time I have been deceived is when I made a deal with my sister and she turned my words against me in order to get me in trouble with our parents. Promises are spoken deals and many people are deceived by their promises being taken against them.
6. This Old Testament commandment means that you must not do anything that would disgrace your parents. You should also never do anything to cause your parents harm or wish harm against your parents. I honor my parents by doing their wills and by always making sure I am on my best behavior in public when they are not there. It is very important to honor your parents because they are the people that have raised you and if you don’t honor them then you are not honor the people who brought you into the world and not honor their name.
7. When someone has been hurt because of me I confess what I did and take the consequences. I did it because it’s the right thing to do when you have hurt someone. You should always confess what you have done and to make up for hurting someone even if you don’t mean to.
