Climate Change
For a Fact we know Climate Change is a large topic to talk about but yet it’s a very controversial topic in many ways in the scientific world, and in the public’s views too. Climate Change can differ in the humidity, temperature, precipitation, and wind. Aspects of Climate Change can change how people, animals, and plants live. Climate Change has hit the world last decade. Canada’s Arctic ice is melting at a blistering pace and Latin America and Southern Asia are getting hit with earthquakes, floods, and tsunamis. Some scientists agree with these episodes are impacted by climate change but some scientists just say the earth is just going through a phase of change.
“The Conversion of a Climate-Change Skeptic” by Richard A. Muller says in his article “Humans are almost entirely the cause.” Richard A. Muller is a professor at UC-Berkeley and teaches Physics. Muller’s point of view saying humans are using to many greenhouse gases that’s why the planet’s temperature is slowly rising. Muller changed his view due to a study done by Berkeley Earth Surface Temperature Project was headed by Elizabeth Muller (Daughter) from the results she found from the earth’s temperature is has risen in the last 250 years. Muller talks about how carbon emissions have given him better reason to change his point of view of Climate change from all the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere and that causes the rise in temperature on Earth. The rise of Carbon Emissions causes the temperature to rise to. Muller expects an increase of temperature at the steady pace of carbon emissions being emitted and floating around the atmosphere. Hurricanes and Tornados have dropped in last decade in the U.S as Muller says “Hurricane Katrina cannot be attributed to global warming.” Science has a small margin of knowledge that can be right or wrong but will be universally accepted.
Dr. Tim Ball disagrees with those claims of Humans are the cause of global warming and he says global warming is a false theory in his article. “Claims that recent severe weather and flooding in the US are proof of human CO2 impacts on global climate are scientific nonsense.” Dr. Tim Ball is former climatology professor at the University of Winnipeg. But in Ball’s article he is telling us the world is cooling down but the carbon dioxide levels will continue to rise. Ball found a poll in the UK saying people there don’t believe humans are causing climate change and scientists are over exaggerating the issue of climate change. Ball thinks that the news or presses are trying to put fear into each one of us. Further in Ball article he talks about how NASA announced on the issue of Artic ice is melting due to wind patterns. He is convinced normal weather is now abnormal to us because scientist miss perceive it to the news or press. In conclusion to Dr. Ball article He says “This trend of severe weather is most likely to increase as the Earth continues to cool.” Ball warns us of the imminent dangers of human pollution on weather conditions as the climate changes severe weather includes: tornados, hurricanes, and etc. The issue that Ball’s argument addresses is how we need to make drastic changes to influence our negative impact on the climate. I can see this as a point of view that I can see people could agree with.
