Executive Summary

Our mission is to create an internationally recognized product that will be used in fitness centers and homes worldwide while promoting green energy and maximizing the fitness experience. We will be recognized for our unique product and respected for our passion to make the world a greener and fitter place. We are a company which adopts traditional values along with the best of modern technology to provide an efficient and valuable product for our customers through our people who are both approachable and respectful of the customer’s needs.

Concept of Product

In order to start producing your own energy, a small generator must be attached to the exercise bike. The small generator is similar to a hand-cranked generator and is capable of producing small and inconsistent electricity wattage. Each pedal rotation produces a force which is converted into an electrical current. The faster you pedal the more electricity you will create. A 30-minute bike ride can produce around 150 watts of power. This is enough power to charge a cell phone or run a laptop for an hour. Excess electricity that is produced can be stored in 12-volt batteries and the batteries used to power appliances using a power converter.

To become the sole producer of this revolutionary equipment in South Africa and to achieve profitability within the first year and a sizeable increase in the return of investment in our company. To also provide a quality product that is recognized nationally and eventually globally as the world is an ever changing marketplace with the ongoing changes online and e-commerce as well as the extreme popularity of social media marketing.

Market Analysis

After thoroughly analysing the market for the product, we have segmented different types of possible consumers for our product. The main segment is the category of consumers that have a need for a sustainable, clean, off grid energy source (green consumers) as well as having a passion for exercise. The other segments consists of consumers that live in areas that do not have a reliable electricity source, they may have access to electricity however due to natural circumstances such as weather, their electricity source is not reliable and they would require an alternative source of energy when their electricity does get cut out. Our future market segment would be the local football leagues in which we plan on forming a partnership with and having them use our product as their official match ball in these leagues. We believe there would be great growth and trends which will be explained further. We have also identified the possible threats to our profitability as well as the market needs, growths and trends.
