Landfill is the disposal of refuse and other waste material by burying it and covering it over with soil. Organic matter is broken down in landfill by microorganism such as enzymes and microbes. Another substance for biodegradation is oxygen because it helps by breaking the molecules apart. Some waste also can’t break down due to the fact that the landfill are so closely compacted that air, dirt, and microorganism can’t get through.
On December 14, 2012, a tragic event struck the small city of Newtown, Connecticut, when an armed man stormed into an elementary school, and proceeds to wipe out the lives of 20 first graders and 6 adults. Is it said that the gunman, Adam Lanza, felt neglected, deserted, and abandoned by his mother that he used her gun as a sign to show his anger. Although it is not uncommon for a child to show rebellion towards their parents, this act of uprising was taking it to the next level, and caused many heartbreaks to the families that was involved.
Before the massacre, Adam Lanza was considered a quiet kid, who suffered from a sensory integration disorder. This caused him to face many hardships during his schooldays. A series of significant changes soon occurred in his life and triggered him to go in seclusion. With his parents being divorced, with his lack of communication with his brother, with his less interaction of the outside world; it led him to be obsessed with violent video games, which soon would be the motivation for his killings. If his mother would have notice his change in behavior earlier, it would’ve caused less sorrows and miseries for the 20 children, 6 adults, and the families they left behind.
