ntroduction:
In this case study we are asked to observe the patient classification of a large healthcare system in PA. We are to observe patients in the emergency department. For this section, probabilistic views on patient classification are discussed. There are two types of patients we will be observing, the patients that are not seen and the patients admitted. The data calculations we will be comparing its arrival time, acuity level, emergency department duration, patient time, and distribution. Data can be sorted into a few categories, basic statistical data analysis, probability concepts, random variables, distributions and point inference.
