1. It is not wrong to consider healthcare as a Business because it has grown in to huge industry in past few decades. On one hand it's true that people's lives are at stake. But there are so many fields' parts of health care system such as Insurance companies, Hospitals, Laboratories, Pharmacies and involved different occupational people like Physicians, Medical assistants, Nurses and many more. In most countries including USA it is necessary to have medical insurance to get health treatments. So these companies provide healthcare services operate expecting profit and at the same time considering peoples wellbeing. There are many firms in health care industry belongs to private sector. So as my pinion healthcare is a business.
2. Healthcare is one of the primary needs of the society. As we all know government has responsibility over citizen's wellbeing. People need health care laws because if there is no law to back up health care business, vendors can do whatever they want to do and it affects people's safety. People could get hurt because of wrong medicine or inferior methods used in the system. If there is a law , then the service providers have liability over the patients and if something goes wrong patients have right to seek legal enforcement. Then government is there to enforce the Laws. Because of these laws health care firms are bound to give quality service to patients.
3. As we know, now baby boomers are reaching their retirement age. Older people mean more medical needs. So many predict here's going to be a surge in demand for medical care associated with the aging population. It will cause huge demand for Medicare services and occupations in the future. There are many healthcare occupations are projected to be growth rapidly because of above reason. Two of them are Residential care personals and registered nurses.
