Abstract

This study is conducted to determine the amount of energy saved in using the energy saving device. This device is made out of tap water, plastic bottles and electric cables. This is also to assess the significant difference of energy consumption when and not using the energy saving device at different time interval.

This study utilizes a completely randomized experimental design, which employs the fixed effect model to evaluate the average energy saved in consumption of electricity. There are three trials per four time intervals in reading the energy consumption. Fischer’s t- test is the statistical tool used to determine the significant difference of the average energy saved per hour interval.

The findings of this study reveal that the experimental energy-saver saves a significant percentage of the energy consumption. This saving ranges from 1.53% to 4.91% which will happen not longer than three hours from the start of energizing the circuit. Hence, the experimental energy-saving mechanism is capable to save energy and has a commercialization potential.

Introduction

A country that has been developed with the existence of technology is the country that can be called a progressive country. This country certainly embraces the use of Alternative Energy in the power plant industry that produces electricity which maybe of lower cost. For we knew that power plant industry is one of the oldest industries created by man in his quest for development and conquering the hindrance of his wants for a more comfortable ways of living. Man needs electricity for his desire to perform his daily task with work done in a short amount of time.

There is lots of alternative energy that produces electricity. Examples of these are Wind-energy, Solar-energy, Tidal and Ocean energy, Hydro-thermal energy, Bio-mass
