The Importance of Accountability

All health care industry include accountability relationships of distinctive kinds, which purpose is with fluctuating points of success. The principle of accountability is responsibility; being accountable means having the commitment to reply to all questions involving any decisions and accomplishments made in health care system. Accountability improving tactics can emphasis on decreasing abuse, ensuring compliance with procedures/standards, and successful implementation /learning.

Accountability important in health care industry

Accountability is important in health care they need to protect against the inclination to think of patient attention and health system as accountable only in conditions of their roles in health-care. Accountability in the healthcare system guarantees the community that resources are actually practiced as well as appropriate implementing of authority as per the legal guidelines and proper procedures, common values, and proficient standards.  Accountability in the healthcare system advances to the development of service administration and method throughout learning and criticism (Lewlow & Coppola, 2014).

Employee’s accountability measured in health care

The healthcare industry is accountable in evolving an ethnicity where every employee attempts to advance productivity and value of their operation.  Their accomplishment can be considered through performance management systems and extent on programs for refining the value of services delivered by each worker. Accountability additionally increases the quality of patient care by intensifying the utilization of evidence-based medicine and implementation measurement with the intent of decreasing unacceptable patient care. Employee’s accountability inspires the evaluation of evidence from process and outcomes measures by utilizing response from the implementation capacities to enhance the processes and the results of health care events. Lastly, if the organization and employees hold themselves more accountable for their actions, then the desire to learn and use evident base practices would increase in the health care system (“Creating a culture of accountability in health care,” 2009). 

        Accountability applies to ethical considerations in leadership

Ethics is a practical part of many healthcare leaders which benefit them to form the policies and procedures in the organization and in improving their conclusion creating practices.  Ethics is undoubtedly a primary language for all leaders and managers in the healthcare organization which supports them with a general objective and lends them a mutual accountability.  Ethics has a primary function and influence for it is a supporting argument for all managers and leaders.
