What is LOVENOX®?
• LOVENOX® is prescribed by your doctor to help reduce your risk of developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or blood clots. LOVENOX® alters the blood's normal clotting process, so clots are unable form easily.
Why do I need LOVENOX®?
• Your doctor may prescribe LOVENOX® if you are undergoing abdominal surgery and you may be at risk for complications from blood clots.
• If you are having a total hip or knee replacement and your activity is restricted.
• You may have severely restricted mobility due to an acute illness.
What are the side effects of LOVENOX®?
• All medicines have side effects.
• Seek medical attention immediately if you have:
black or bloody stools,
pink or red urine
unusual bleeding or bruises
persistent nose bleeds
