Weeks 2-4

Begin initial reading on topic of capitalism and the concept of freedom. Note down key concepts and characteristics of capitalism, note how this relates to individual freedom. Finalizing areas of inquiry to learning set.

Create a draft ILP for week 4 meeting and have formal agreement by the end of the meeting. Submit ILP via turn-it-in.

Week 5

Research and outline how capitalism have improved individual freedom. Introduce key concepts of economic freedom with key figures such as Friedman.

Using a variety of Prezi and videos montage, explain to class key ideas behind capitalism, explain key differences of this ideology and the rest.

Weeks 6-8

Research and outline how capitalism can be perceived as slavery. Summarise key pros and cons of capitalism and introduce key figures like Marx to conflict Friedman.

Using tables, clearly outline how aspects of capitalism can be perceived as freedom or slavery. Create a final summary of the findings and request feedback from the learning set.

Weeks 9-12

Research and prepare a picture montage, representing the impact of economic freedom, liberalisation, and the concept of free enterprise on society as a whole. Prepare a brief summary to conclude.

Show set picture montage and ask how they feel if there was an absence of economic freedom, how their life has changed. Finally demonstrate some findings and correlation between economic freedom and prosperity.

Weeks 13-15

Research media such as articles that debates economic freedom and state intervention. Show how some FTAs have been beneficial or detrimental to businesses.

Present media to group and ask them to discuss this topic. Summarise findings from group. Include a final summary in last meeting of feedback in final submission.
