Abstract

There are date rape statics in this paper to prove this is a crime that needs to be addressed. Date rape is a real problem that needs to be stopped. Date rape is different from any other type of rape and this offense is hard to prove because the victim is usually the only witness and it must be proven that the sex was not consensual. The use of date rape drugs is very common with this offense and can be very dangerous for the victim. One of the worst issues with date rape is how the jury and the court system views the victims of this crime, a lot of times the victims are not taken seriously.
