Foster Care Interoperability

The foster system works with many other organizations as well as programs to help care for their young clients and improve the care given. Many of these children did not the choice into this system but have little choice of their personal care. Interoperability helps improve the services that they will receive while in the custody of the foster system.

The foster system has an interoperability program that is called a wraparound system. This system assists the system to have a wide range of capability to help their client base as well as the families who support the system. In studies, it has been found that the resources and effectiveness of the wraparound system have been found to be very promising in the stabilization of foster care placements for a sample of the children within the system. Using the Geographic Information System technology incorporates the score of a location by using information such as clinical, demographic and the service proximity measures. With the placements disruption that can expected with the trauma that the client has occurred.

The foster system assists children and young adults who have to remove from their home due to abuse or the lack of personal needs being met by their family. Many of these children have had some form of abuse or neglect over their lives. These children may also have mental as well as physical issues because of the situation that they have experienced. These children may need psychological help as well as medical needs that currently not met in their current home. The foster system works to help the children mend both physically and mentally. Helps them have better care as well living better lives. Some of these children are never able to return to their families. These children will need adoption services that can be handled by the system with the current guidelines that assist these children on finding a new family. One of the main issues with the foster system right now is there are many children who can be adopted and not enough families who want to adopt these children. There are more children coming into this system on a daily basis that it is very difficult for the current system to keep up with the demand of how many children need the services at this time.

Three of the interoperability models that work with the foster system. The human service delivery system infrastructure and interoperability. The model assists the organization to have a natural flow in the programs that are necessary for to care for the children within the foster system. Connects the programs that the human service organization has to serve better its clients in medical as well as other aspects. With technology helping with the flow of information, it is easier to track the services that the client requires. The first of these models is the loosely linked network model this model assist by having the information easily assessable for individuals. This model uses software that can be accessed from devices such as a smartphone as well as using Cloud computing. Cloud computing makes it so that the worker can get information on many different platforms. Provides information for services on demand without having to wait as well as customizing for the user. The model lowers the overhead cost of the agencies where the funds saved can become allocated to other programs where needed. Assist in the growth of the connectivity within the foster system. This program also assists in the flexibility of the agency for the client’s needs.

The second of these models is the Network model. The network model is a more formal model than the first. This model connects the organization to connect globally. This model does illustrate many issues with human service agencies the companies are independent. The current system that is in place gives the group independence of funding as well as more freedom for the professionals and network managers. The third of these models is the top-down model the three components of this model is called the IGHI this includes local agencies like the Red Cross. The second is the affiliations of local organizations this is the information between with other agencies to help better the clients.

The third is the global consortium for accumulation knowledge and how to use the knowledge that has been acquired. The impact that this model has works as a support system for management as well as the workers. The current model assist workers in efficiently running routine scheduling for the needs of the organization. The programs the workers concentrate on other services needed as well as better serving their clients. With automated services, the operator can focus more on the client’s progress and keep up-to-date on the information that has gathered. This model holds the data more secure with privacy and confidential needs of the client. This system builds a better working relationship with the client as well as their worker. The operator can process more scenarios to serve better their customer base. This model does come with its issues. The model works well for short term use but is not as useful as long-term solutions. The program is why it is so important for the human service organizations to have a system-wide monitoring system. This system has loopholes that can be exploited for personal gain that does not benefit the client. There is a need for self-correcting mechanisms that must be in place to help prevent vulnerable to manipulations. Even though there are issues with this model, it is the most attractive to government agencies for the flexibility and the effeteness of the program itself.

The foster system has its flaws while it is working to correct these issues even though it is difficult with the ever growing needs of the communities. Every day there are more children being put into the foster system and their needs are growing as well with the changes in the current needs. With technology that is currently available it is easier for workers to find the needs of their clients. There are currently more children in the system than there are families who can take the children into their homes. Connectivity helps the foster system serve their clients as well as their families. The foster system is a crucial part of human services serving the most helpless of all the clients to give them a better life.
