The health care policy topic that will be discussed is Affordable healthcare Act. In this paper it will state the objective of the policy, and define the formulation stage. Also in this paper the process to formulate the policy and the involvement of stakeholders. However, it would define the legislative stage and explain the legislative body’s approval process needed to gain support funding for the policy and how stakeholders influence legislative decisions. Also define the implementation stage, and identify accountable parties and their roles in implementation of the Affordable Healthcare Act.

Objective of the Policy

The American healthcare system had been in a healthcare crisis. Many Americans, as well as businesses, have bought out and unable to afford healthcare for themselves and their families. Individuals who were once insured found themselves dropped from coverage when cost became too great and had no rights if they were dropped. If the crisis were ignored, it was projected to bankrupt the United States at a high rate year after year.

The Affordable Care Act provides health insurance coverage that is more secure and reliable for people who have it. However, it will accommodate families and small business owners and lower healthcare costs that have been under the strain of high cost. These include individuals, families, employers and the Federal budget.

Formulation stage

The Affordable Care a, I see a, was signed into law on March 23rd 2010 to improve Healthcare in America, and to make quality Healthcare affordable and available to all individuals. These plans are done partly by explaining Medicaid to low-income individuals, and provide tax credits to small-scale employers who cover their employs. However this plain provides tax credits to people who need assistance paying for insurance, making changes for the health care industry to control wasteful spending, taxing people who earn more money and the health care industry and opening state-based, aggressive, on-line health insurance exchanges (AKA marketplaces) where people can purchase insurance and receive help with the cost of healthcare. The main objective is to cut the number of uninsured Americans

Formulate policy and involvement

To formulate my policy and involvement of stakeholders would be patterned after the same objectives the as the Affordable Care Act. The provisions would include creating state-based Health Insurance Exchange that will increase buying power, reduce administrative expen3,and increase competition so that premiums are affordable. There would be subsidized coverage through Health insurance exchanges provided to people who are not able to afford to obtain Insurance on their own. Young adults under the age of 26 who are covered as a dependent on their parents employer-sponsored insurance policy would be increase a hol5e title of the law is focused on expanding Medicaid coverage to low-income American, reducing prescription drug coverage hole for people who have Medicare part D. Prescription drug benefits & Insurance liability to health insurance and protect against the high rate of Co paid by the insurance. This would prohibit the insurer from placing a lifetime limit on medical care, denying coverage based on pre-existing condition, and would stop the discrimination premium rates because of health status or the person is male or female.. The insurance company would not be allowed to drop people coverage when they get sick, and consumers would be better protected and their rights observed when appealing the decision the company makes. The pharmaceutical companies should be made over to prevent them from having total control and for the protection of consumers.  There is also a whole title of laws that addresses this reform.  A pre-existing condition insurance plan program should be established for Americans who are uninsured and have a pre-existing condition, without coverage for at least 6 months. This was only temporary in 2014. Full, accessible website healthcare.gov exists for consumers to stay up-to-date and inform about choices and also to promotion competition among the insurance company.
