Having the power to work together within organizational boundaries is called health information systems. For effective delivery of health care of communities and individuals is considered interoperability. Interoperability brings significant enhancement for information technology to make the integrations and networks work properly. This also affects the types of care delivery, the ability to share information with patients for patient’s engagement and continuity of care. Interoperability is also often used in marketing and product enhancement. Different providers in human services employ interoperability for assistance with communicating between services and systems for better results.
The UP Center is known as an important to Human Services Child and Family services of Eastern Virginia. The UP Center helps support the well- being and social economics of family, children, communities, families and individuals through offering many beneficial programs. Up Center’s human services aids a vast group consisting of individuals and families earning low income communities located in South Eastern region of Virginia. The Up Center has been around since 2009 helping those in need. Their goal is to offer support to families who are seeking assistance with adoption, food pantry help, child custody, summer programs for kids and many counseling programs. They are always seeking donations to help them be successful with service delivery. There are many issues and barriers in terms of providing the .financial aid for the programs, in which the initiative is taken to implement the interoperability. To properly diminish those barriers is to implement interoperability. “Interoperability” is acknowledged as an effort of programmatic coordination to mitigate and diminish any issues of service delivery. Interoperable technology today’s emergence that provides the opportunity that unites systems worldwide in more useful and rewarding ways. Through interoperability, comes the need for expansion of new service models and service techniques which makes the best use of constructive outcomes for families, communities and children. Business interoperability, information interoperability and technology interoperability are the three models of interoperability. Business interoperability enables business interoperability between other organizational systems. This also includes e-Business, e-Democracy, case and relationship management, and enterprise resource management. Information interoperability provides the separate systems the understanding of a specific format, quality of information exchanges and it also includes business intelligence, knowledge management, information management, and trusting identities. The ability of two or more communications and information systems technology applications is technology interoperability. Technology interoperability also accepts data from one application to another without the need of an extra operator intervention which includes IT infrastructure. Interoperability significantly links health and human services. It improves experiences for clients by caring for the whole person using advanced care coordination, receiving critical information in client contact, preventive methods for illnesses, help individuals become self-sufficient and decrease broken communities. Interoperability also provides the UP Center with accurate information access. Clients are linked to a wide range of date from every human service organization. Interoperability has the ability to reduce fraud, abuse, and waste across programs.
