Nell and Socialization

There are five major components of socialization: Family,media,peers,religion and sports which affect and shape our socialization.

First is family because our parents are the most close people to us in the world and they give us food,love and educantion to let us grow better as a normal person.They also teach us something we can not learn from school.

Media is the second component for our sociazation because its the way for us to absording imforamtion and news to understand the outside world and connecting ourself life to others. Without that we are hard to know the outside and only live in self small world and that would let a person seperate from normal socializatoin.

Third is peers because they have most similar interest and experience with us and we need friendship in our life. Communication is very important for a person to find self position in sociaty.

Forth is religoin. I don't have religion because when I was little and study in school we were teached not to believe every nonscience beliefs. There also has a word "lie" in a "belief". Religion are determined as superstitious action. But after I came America where has lots of free religion I found many people who hold belief on something are nicer and friendly because they are devout and have belief in mind.So to an extent religion can make a person has spirit support and can shape a good sociaty.

While in the movie Nell has only one component of socialization-Family. That's why she only have some basic skills like how to survial and speak simple language. Without media she never know what happen outside of her litter house and know nothing about the real social world. She only have one peer is her twins sister who died very young so she become a little insane about young girls and little children. Because they are represent the friendly people to her
