Problem Solutions
Many conflicts have been created in the Tornillo port of entry due to the importing and exporting of vehicles. The City of El Paso has been having problems; non sanitary and traffic issues. The City of El Paso is trying to find the best solutions to solve the trouble caused due to this.
Identify Two Potential Solutions
Team C brought to the table two strong solutions which they thought were the most effective to solve the problem. They proposed that the Mexican and American Governments should make an agreement to serve for a longer period of time every day, since they only work from 8 am to 12 pm. modifying their system of walk-ins to appointments. Which facilitates the importation of more vehicles daily, and will reduce traffic from being parked in the prohibited locations. The appointments will also help with the non-sanitary issues this was causing. Importers were staying overnight and there is no restrooms for their necessities, which was a huge hazard to the community. Team C also proposed The City of El Paso builds a parking space around the area with a daily charge. This proposal would help with the traffic issues in the port of entry, and will also generate a source of income to the city.
