American society is very multileveled and is represented by many cultures, so it is vitally necessary to protect this diversity in order to save it. US military forces introduce no exception in being the main protectors of religious views diversity. According to the US Constitution, the government and all institutions must protect the exercise of religion without limits. As the US army represent a very bright image of the society and in some aspects reflects this society, supporting religious diversity is the key to a democratic approach. Constitutional protection of this diversity is stricter in the military field, as the army is less autonomic and presupposes order and obedience.

In order to constitutionally protect the religious freedom, Michael Weinstein founded the Military Religious Freedom Foundation with the respective aim. This organization released the 40-pages manual based on the religious support and how this principle is being integrated into the military. Due to this manual commanders are obliged to be the guarantees of religious protection and to impose this principle on the soldiers and civilians, as they represent respectful attitude to the issue. Michael Weinstein claims that the main issue or ideology of MRFF is that no religious philosophy should be stated over another religious philosophy, as for army and military service. Any prejudices concerning religion are seriously judged and prohibited, and due to the MRFF manual, the military officials severely judge the opposite to the tolerant religious attitude. This approach totally ensures the democratic principles as the military support is a vitally important branch and is very influential. Military system is based thoroughly on discipline, and views imposed inside this system will undoubtedly exist outside this system.
