Socio-Economic Problems in Bangladesh

Bangladesh is suffering from many socio-economic problems over the decades. Among the main problems food problem is an important one. Bangladesh has faced several famine and food crisis after its birth. The high rate of birth increases its population day by day with many other problems. Now the most important question easily may come to our mind is Bangladesh has enough capacity to feed its population. Changes of climate, decrease of agricultural land and other political matters are actually making this question stronger. This paper work is mainly about the present food condition and food security of Bangladesh. This paper covered different food polices, problems, and future possible work plan with the natural agro practices of Bangladesh. Market and distribution also discussed in this paper using various sources and research works.
Maintaining a healthy social environment is as important as our economic development. We can never expect a balance economic development without a healthy social environment. Food security is directly related with the term “Social Security”. Anarchy will be everywhere if there is scarcity of food inside the country. Price determines the living standards. Moreover, as a developing and weak economic country Bangladesh is always is in a risk of famine. Instead of increased in total food production the large amount of population has increasing this risk. High prices of is another reason for the social imbalance. According to Bangladesh Beauro of Statistics (BBS), in last ten years the price of food has increased an average 90 percent. This happened because of shortage of supply and mismanagement of markets as the syndicators are now is very active in Bangladesh. All these things are actually creating challenges for government.
