Sources of Influence
When looking back on positive influences in my life my father has made the strongest influence overall. My father has always been an inspiring figure. My father has always should me the value of working hard even when times get tough. My father has given me the tools to know what behaviors are the right ones. Even now, having a family of my own I use what my father has shown me to help me be a model for my children. According to the text, in order to have influence you must have a strong purpose (Clawson, 2012).
LPI Results
Since I was unable to get other observer LPI questionnaires my results show less feedback. In my results the five inventory practices are, model the way (51), inspire the shared vision (45), challenge the process (50), enable others to act (46), and encourage the heart (52). I feel that this matches what frequently due from a leader stand point. I have room to progress between change the process and enable others to act which I found to be true. Enable others tends to happen the less frequently.
I believe it is a good mirror when getting honest feedback. I can actually pin point my strengths and weaknesses. I think that this can be valuable for leaders with my organization. It can give everyone a since of what everyone is capable of. Within my organization we have a department that builds leadership skills for employees that show this on a daily basis. This analysis can be most effect in building team leaders and placing them within departments according to the scores.
