1. Identify the key software applications used by The Tea Collection.
Tea Collection used software applications to design their clothes, and to sell their products.
The company used geo-mapping to decide the areas to put stores in, where it was a low density area for children’s ware market. They also have in place an application for the retailers to order products over the internet.
2. How does the geo-mapping software help the company grow? Explain how sales reps use the results of the geo-mapping system.
The Tea Collection uses geo-mapping to target an area where there are few or no childrens clothing stores in the area. Using the geo-map, they can see the demographics to decide on where would be the best places to build a new store.
3. What is the main technology challenge identified in the video? How would you suggest this challenge should be addressed?
The biggest technology challenge is that the computer systems are not integrated. The first thing would be to train all the employees to use all the systems in use. The next step would be to get a system that everyone was on the same program, and working together.
4. Do you believe this company can continue to grow rapidly with the existing software and hardware they have demonstrated in this video? Why or why not?
I think all companies need to have a totally integrated system, with all employees on the same page. I also think that a company needs to keep up with the newest technology to keep on the cutting edge of the business.
