Bullying has changed in many different ways over time. Just how everything around us becomes more technical and easier to use, in some way so has bullying. Technology has changed bullying because it has only made it easier access for teenagers' or anybody to possibly get away with bulling. Over the years there has been thousands of people and teenagers committing suicide over something someone has said over the social media.
If maybe you were wondering what cyberbullying is well here it is. Cyberbullying is bullying that takes place using electronic technology. Electronic technology includes devices and equipment such as cell phones, computers, and tablets as well as communication tools including social media sites, text messages, chat, and websites. Did you know that there is nearly 43% of kids have been bullied online? Well, 1 in 4 has had it happen more than once. 70% of students reports seeing frequent bullying online. ^8% of teens agree that cyberbullying is a serious problems. Only 1 in 10 victims will inform a parents or trusted adult of their abuse of cyberbullying online. Girls are about twice as likely as boys to be victims and perpetrators of cyberbullying.
These are the effects of cyberbullying. Teenagers often use alcohol and drugs, they skip school, experience in person bullying, be unwilling to attend school, receive poor grades, have low self-esteem, and also have more health problems. These isn't right for teenagers and children to have more health problems because of cyberbullying or generally bullying. There is no point of bullying another person or bringing them down to your level. These are some important ways you can prevent from having any problems with cyberbullying. 1. Beware of what your kids are doing online, 2.establish rules about technology usage, and lastly understand school rules.
