Landline telephones work through the activity of 5 components/steps.
1, Lattice-work lets sound waves through
2, Inside the microphone the soundwaves hit a flat disc making it vibrate. The diaphragm vibrates at the exact same speed as the sound waves.
3, Coiled wire that is attached to the flat disc. The coil also vibrates when the soundwaves hit the diaphragm.
4, When the coil vibrates, a magnet that is directly underneath creates electronic currents.
5, the electric current shows a pattern that corresponds to the original sound waves. This changing current is fed to loudspeakers.
- Landlines are useful for being ‘home’ phones.

Mobile phones
In a mobile network, each transmitter is in the centre of a hexagonal region called a cell. The microwave message is relayed from one cell to a transmitter in an adjacent cell until it reaches the receiving phone. The transfer of messages from cell to cell is controlled by computer.

- Also have the ability to text message as well as phone call
Television
TV’s use cathode ray tubes that are beams of electrons. They shoot beams of electrons towards the screen (which is fluorescent) which glows when hit.
