Task 1: Introduction

Question:

The Internet has brought new life style to people nowadays. Everyone can be connected regardless of time and distance. By using your own opinions, explain how Internet changes the way we see things, the way we think, the way we connect and the way we communicate. Support your opinions with suitable circumstances or situations you experience in your life.

Internet is a virtual world that are easily access by most of us with the advancement of current technologies. The concept of internet are basically “information exchange”. However, as the data being advertised to the web in the tremendous fast rate, it have become a giant database that consist all kinds and categories of information.

With the procession of this giant database of information, it have greatly change our perspective on most matters.


1.1 – History of Internet

The history of the Internet begins with the development of electronic computers in the 1950s. Initial concepts of packet networking originated in several computer science laboratories in the United States, United Kingdom, and France. Of course back then computer are not as affordable as current day.

The modern internet as we have it, starts it evolution in the 1980s, when British computer scientist Tim Berners-Lee research at Switzerland by resulted in the World Wide Web, (WWW) linking hypertext documents into an information system, accessible from any node on the network.
